Description
The question came up when Nevermore first emerged from that pool of white liquid in her master's true form. She would hardly do anything, just sit in the center of the lonely dark room where Paige spends her days. If you looked closely enough you could see faint tears streaming down her face.
Paige, thinking that her creation was suffering, ripped the black inkling heart out from Nevy's chest, leaving a gaping hole in her chest which she keeps closely hidden. She never showed any real emotions to this day. One day she asked a question while Paige was in the bowels of her delusions.
"Am I a failure master?" her voice was soft, but hoarse, and Paige was surprised that this was her first sentence.
The cat-girl stared at her companion who was staring emotionlessly at her. "Nevy...."
"You'll never be a failure to me."
As Nevermore grew in maturity to her master's age she would begin to wander off on her own a lot more often than usual. As Paige suffered more and more from a constantly growing monophobia Nevy had to stay with her and only come out when she's sleeping.
Nevy couldn't sleep herself, for her dreams were always disjointed.
