Twintail's backstory has been eluding me but I found it at last

a girl who sold her soul to become the first creator and ironically the first to go completely nuts (no one knows where her creations went after she lost her mind)

on the verge of turning into an anti-prophecy demon she sought out the demon who she sold her soul to and destroyed him after he refused to give it back

on the verge of death the demon passed out a curse to devin that she will remain a demon forever unless she sells one girl's soul and completely devour it before the girl becomes a demon as well

she tested this on lots of girls but failed to consume their souls in time before they fled to Limbo (or Purgatory I can't decide which these are fictional counterparts I named after them not the ones in certain religions) until she found one

and we all know who the girl is
